More of the bump
I've been slacking on taking baby pictures: but here are today's and last weeks anyhow. Khyl and I were playing magic 8 ball with the baby on Sunday. We asked him, "Kick if your name is ...." He actually picked his own name. So far that is what we are going with (it was our favorite anyway). But we're not telling because we aren't %100 sure yet.
34 weeks
Nursery
I don't think any unborn child has ever had a cuter nursery. I'll give you a sneek preview then post more picture later when I am actually and finally finished- don't worry it shouldn't be too long now. Jeri, Cambria, Alayna, and Rachel helped me paint the baby's room and I must say it is super cute. It was actually a lot of fun and I now have the decorating bug- fueled by Jeri's energy of course and am making plans to make the rest of my house as cute as the nursery. Hopefully Khyl doesn't kill me for spending our life savings on paint ! :)
Cambria had to label this wall because she started painting it the wrong color. This is Alayna.
This is my pregnant self painting at the ceiling. And yes, I'm on a step stool and no that doesn't count as a ladder.
Painting the baseboards- What a pain; they took three coats!
The first stroke.
Jeri said if I put any pictures of her on this post she wouldn't help me paint again!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Khyl and I have a tradition of going to Sushi every Valentines Day. This year since it was Sunday, we went on Saturday with our friends Phil and Becca. This was Becca's first time with sushi and she said she liked it but wasn't wild about it. I was proud of her for trying though! We also gave Jared a grain of rice to see what he would do and he made the funniest face! On sunday morning, I tried to make breakfast in bed for Khyl, but Timber woke him up just ast I was putting the finishing touches on breakfast. I made heart shaped french toast. Mine wasn't nearly as pretty; I got the edges of the bread that were left over from the hearts but they were still super delicious. That night Khyl and I made a red and white dinner with Becca and Phil. We had lasagna and a strawberry salad and red jello. I also made Khyl's favorite for dessert: Coconut Cream pie! Yummo!

The Wiz
Erin's Mission
Erin reported to the MTC on January 27th. She is already such a cute little missionary. She has been enjoying the MTC and is learning Hungarian. She is going to Buda-Pest Hungary in April. She has already blessed our family with her dedicated service to the Lord. She asked me to escort her through the temple. This was one of the most wonderful experiences. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the gosple and the sacred ordinances we have access to though the Temple. I am so grateful to have such a beautiful temple so close to home. I am so grateful that Erin was able to make such important covenants in the temple as she prepared for her mission and that I had the opportunity to share that experience with her. Families can be together forever!Hot little Handyman/Double Date
While Khyl and I were in AZ, Khyl climbed on Shawn and Tamara's roof to install the garage security light we got them for Christmas. It was like a bazillion degrees outsides and Khyl was such a stud with his tools on the roof!
23!
Next up, my birthday! I am now 23! My family and friends pitched in to get me a super cute rocker/recliner to put in the baby's room. Khyl and I drove to AZ to spend two weeks with his family the day after my birthday so I was spoiled there for my birthday too. I had a yummy ice-cream cake that turned our teeth green!
Christmas at the Halbert House
My whole family came over for Christmas this year! It was super fun but very chaotic. On Christmas Eve, we had homemade chili and went Christmas Caroling with our insturments. Next we came home and enacted the Nativity then played some games. It was really fun and everyone really got into their character. I had everyone choose a number to determine who would be which character. Jennifer was the Narrator, Cambria was Mary, Erin was Joseph, Khyl was the Donkey, Katrina was the Angel, Preston and Mom were sheep, Louis and I were their sheperds, and Aunt Sherry, Rachel and Dad were wise men. How cute! We used to do this when we were kids. Poor Erin always had to be the donkey!
On Christmas, we opened stockings, had waffles, opened presents and then everyone helped cook a delicious dinner! Love you family!
Super Sister Day
I have decided to start a new tradition with my sisters called Super Sister Day. Since we are all growing up I thought it would be cool to make a day where we could all get together every year and just hang out. This year we made sugar cookies that we delivered when we did our traditional christmas instrument caroling. (They were super cute but they didn't taste very good. Hopefully they'll be better next year!) We also made cute magnets and some flower clips. It was FUN! Even Erin had fun even though she was a little leary about a craft day at first.
Timber tried to help but she was really just in the way.
Yummy Frosting!
PS- Check out the cute Christmas wreath I made for under 5 bucks!
Happy 2nd Birthday Timber
December 1st was Timber's second birthday. My little fluffball terror is now a snotty teenager! For her birthday she visited her friend Copper (Abby's dog), got a bath and some new duck toys.
Catch-Up...Graduation!!!
Dear everyone: I'm sorry I'm such a lame-o! I am realizing that I haven't posted a darn thing that has been going on in my life since Novemberish. That is really sad. Sooooo... here goes. First up: Graduation!
I gratuated from COLLEGE on December 5th. Whoo hoo! I walked with one of my best friends Abby Parkin. I seriously don't know how I would have gotten through the last couple of semesters without her. She and I were in all the same classes and worked together on all of our huge projects. Khyl was also a huge support. Thanks for your help!!!
